    Xbox mic adapter stuck on mute


    So i turned on my controller today and randomly the mute icon on the adapter is just lit up. I’ve tried to restart my console. Unplug the adpater. Take out the batteries. I also tried updating it and no luck. Is there anything else i could do. Im really
    not trying to buy a new one. They have become absolutely unavailable everywhere pretty much. I have found the adapter go for upwards of $70. At that point i might as well buy a wireless mic that i dont need atm.

    Deccman, this is my exact problem as well. My x1 is brand new (bought it tonight) and the cheap mic works just fine. The stereo adapter is stuck on mute.

    Does the adapter need to be replaced?

    You can go to settings and open devices and try to buzz your controller make sure that it is working and this has happen to me before the best advice I can give you is to look and make sure your adapter has no damage

    Deccman & Slay D, I also just got my x1 tonight (AW bundle). The stereo adapter is stuck on mute, the standard mic that comes with the xbox works without a problem.
