xbox messenger

    Ok so this is what I found out, the coming shutdown is of the Messenger *client* and not the Messenger service. The client on the Xbox will continue to operate post-client shutdown. The same applies to Messenger on WP.

    Should Xbox bring Facebook IM to Xbox Live?

    MS could just allow FB Messenger to connect to the Messenger on Xbox for those that want it.

    For the rest of us, NO.

    Can't sign into Xbox Messenger

    Xbox Messenger/Windows Live Messenger officially shut down on April 1st 2013. We're just waiting for Skype integrations for Xbox :)

    Here's an interesting question though: Messenger is built into the Xbox LIVE service, though it's harder to find now than when it was first implemented back in mid-'07. What will happen to the version of Messenger on Xbox LIVE? Is it going to be quietly
