In that case you can download the Xbox Insider App and sign up for pre-release updates on your Xbox console as well as Xbox App.

Well after many attempts on trying to work around this issue I think I am going to admit defeat. It took me over an hour to message 20 people trying to wait for the interface or have it fail 6 times to populate the name into the message screen when searching
    for friends etc.

I have tried this on all devices.

It makes running our gaming clan basically impossible and we will just need to direct more of our messaging and communication in some other manner. It is looking like discord will be the choice at this point.

The old web interface before it was changed was the most reliable now it will not even open a new message screen when you hit message on a profile.

So as far as I can tell if you wish or need to send more than one message an hour to someone that is only on your friends list you are good. It does seem if they are on your friends list messaging works with less errors and failures.

In the end this all really needs to be looked at as I rarely see any notifications from any of the apps on any of the platforms and clearly not being able to send messages out easily is utterly painful and has made me now move to something outside of the
xb platform and I am sure that is not the intended goal of trying to unify our xb1 community experience.

We are all dealing with the same, so nobody hates you the mesaaging is not up to the mark on the Xbox platform. Hope they will give it a serious upgrade.

I have sent in a pile of reports with no reply. So I am pretty good there at this point.

I have narrowed this down to possibly being the fact that when you are signed into multiple devices etc it gets worse and or they have some kind of spamming filter that when you send two fast longer messages in a row it just shuts you down.

Yesterday I logged out of every site, device etc except for my PC Xbox app and my console and I actually got 5 messages out in a row without it failing but honestly I think I was just lucky.

Hey bburzycki thanks for keeping in touch!

From the information gathered here the piece that stands out the most is the Moderate NAT Type, as Fellow XBF Crystal P stated we would suggest to

    port forward
for a better connection. Also quick question, is the console internet set up as wifi or hardwired?? Let us know so we can try and get this resolved!

So i use Messaging 3 ways:

    1) From my PC - As I can manage things much easier - Copy and paste - easier keyboard use - Can access other text files to copy and past from etc. (PS: having a notepad on xb would be quite interesting to be able to save messages we send all the time from
    the console)

    2) From the console - For quick messaging to others or quick replies using a chat pad or a wireless keyboard

    3) From the android app - This is using my local network and mobile cell network. That said even when out the mobile app rarely gives me any notifications and the messaging screen is very slow to respond. I have tried both the beta and standard releases
on this to see if there is a difference and there is not.

    4) I totally gave up on the web version of messaging at xbox.com as when you look up someone and hit new message it will not even open the message screen in chrome. Well it open the screen but doe snot populate it to send any kind of message.

The Xbox and computer are all hardwired

    Phone is clearly wireless.

I will look into the port forward but I really do not think that is the issue - I am going to go out on a limb and say this has something do to with how messaging works in general. Backend issues, spam filtering or how and what devices are logged in and
how those all interact. I am not saying messaging is easy but it is so core to the user experience of a massive community like this it should be at the top of the list to get to work.

I would happily test and report issues to whomever will listen to try to get this fixed for all.

I need to add to this that the XB PC App on WIN10 has major sync and update issues.

And an example, I replied to over 20 messages this am on mobile. Now looking at the app on Win10 and it is still showing all messages from 16h ago as unread and it will not update using the refresh button or when you log out fully and log back in it retains
those old messages that are replied to and already deleted.

So that makes me think this is a back end issue in the messaging service vs a network issue for me.

Thanks I will again do that.

Also in testing this further I found one device and app that seems to actually work properly.

On my tablet it seems to handle messaging differently and seems to allow and lookup data properly. I sent out over 180 messages last night with only about 3 failures.
