    My messages on Xbox are NOT sending and have not been sending for the past 2 weeks.

    Message failed to send.

    On Xbox one when I try to send a message it says message failed to send then on message section of Xbox it say we are unable to get your recent messages please try again later.In Xbox app it says that it was unable to connect to the server and on the internet
    it doesn’t work either.It works on Xbox 360 though. Please can someone help thanks.

    Message failed to send

    On Xbox one when I try to send a message it says “message failed to send.” When I get a notification saying I got a message and I open up messages to see what it says it says “We are unable to get your recent messages please try again later.” My messages
    don’t work on Xbox 360, Xbox app or Microsoft website Xbox app says “We can’t send the message. The recipient might not exist, isn’t a friend or we couldn’t reach the service.” The person does exist and is a friend.

    I have had this problem for about a year. Please can someone help.

    Hello, Super Sapper RE.

    This issue might be occurring because of your internet connection. Try to reset your router/modem and see if that resolves the problem.

    I have checked my messages from Xbox live and it is not from Xbox. Its from another player however it would appear that this message just failed to appear in my conversations so its left with one unread message.

    Yes it could, does it get the same error message (fails to get an ip address) even after a factory reset of the Xbox network settings?

    That makes more sense to me - if it fails with the same message on both routers

    Try to clear
    cache    , unplug the console for 5 mins, restart the console and launch the game.
