Xbox menus are scrolling, even when no controller is hooked up

I was playing Minecraft, and the left thumbstick stop responding to being moved down. I tried to reset the controller, but then the scrolling would not stop at all. I finally got out of the game by luckily selecting the correct menu options. When I restarted
my XBox, the first screen automatically scrolls to the bottom and stops. If I put batteries into a controller and try to scroll, it doesn't work.

I have done a hard reboot of the XBox One according to the instructions here ...

How to do a Hard Restart on Xbox One - Xbox One Wiki Guide - IGN

That did not help. When I restarted the machine, the first screen scrolls to the bottom and stays there.

This happens even when NO CONTROLLER has batteries in it and none are connected.

    :)

  2. Xbox One infinitely scrolling down.

My Xbox has began scrolling down forever and scrolling up does nothing as it is overpowered. I initially thought it was a controller problem so I took the battery pack out and turned on another controller but it still continuously scrolled down. I then restarted
my xbox and din't turn on any controller but it still scrolls down even with no controller turned on and smartglass can't overpower it either. I hard reset my console but the problem still persists. The strangest thing is it doesn't scroll down when browsing
settings but it does on the home screen, youtube and everything else I've tried.

    Xbox one Dpad Noise

I have already bought 1 new standard Xbox One controller from amazon and had to send it back because it arrived with a non functioning left bumper and also had a very sharp side to it. I got the replacement today and everything is perfect, all buttons work,
no sharp sides, no loose parts. A very perfect controller. But I discovered one major issue. The Dpad makes a loud snapping sound when pressed in the up position, and when you press up on the dpad, it registers as 2-3 inputs. In other words when scrolling
through menus, the controller will go up 2-3 times instead of one. I really am disappointed in the quality as it seems to be one issue after another. Can someone please help me out.

Xbox menus are scrolling, even when no controller is hooked up

My apologies to everyone. I did not realize that my keyboard was plugged into the console. As soon as I situated the keyboard better, everything is resolved.

Why does my wired controller scroll fast

Other controllers are not affected at the moment and when i hook the wired one up to another xbox it dosen't now have the menu scroll problem bit still looks down in games and it's not like stick drift where you can still look up, it fights to look down when i try to look up, when this happened before it did have the scroll and the looking problem when I hooked it up to another xbox. Edit- it has now started to affect the controller that came with my xbox but it turns left

    Too Loud! HELP!!!

pretty sure there is no way to adjust volume on the 360 only to turn sounds (like when selecting the different menu pages) on and off but the volume control would be done on your TV or stereo (if it is hooked up to one).

Is My Headset Adapter or Controller Broken?

Go to the left (on the Xbox One menu) (when a sidebar shows up) and scroll to the bottom where it says "Settings".

There should be a headset volume in there if you are connecting the headset to the controller and make sure the volume is on 100% (there won't be an actual percentage but a bar).

    series x resume - project cars 2

Yes, very easy, bring up the Xbox guide, scroll down to the Project Cars 2 icon, and press the menu button on the controller, and select quit.
