XBox memberships

Hi all,

Question.

Child 1 has a new xbox 1 for xmas.

Child 2 has a new xbox 360 for xmas.

Both have Microsoft accounts.

I have a Gold account (360).

Can I add both as family members although they have different consoles?

If not what is the cheapest way of doing this? UK based.

I think if you put your profile onto the xbox one then child 1 can share your xbox live but child 1 can't play on live on your 360 and I'm pretty sure child 2 would need there own xbox live on 360 you can get a years subscription for about £25 if you need
have a look at CD keys website there usually pretty cheap.

Yep,you only need one active gold account on the xbox one & you need to set up gold sharing,details here

Each account on the 360 would need their own gold subscription though to play online

thanks for replies guys - thought as much.

So have added child one to my family membership on xbox one, and child 2 now has a free one month trial for xbox 360.

Check out CDkeys for gold memberships. Have used them myself for the past couple of years.

To share xbox live membership you should set the account that has the membership as xbox home

In the moment you convert your membership to ultimate your gold membership is included in that conversion, so if you cancel your ultimate membership you terminate your gold membership as well. In that case you should purchase xbox gold membership again.

If you already were using payed gold membership before you can't use a trial membership. The purpose of trial memberships is to get to know the xbox live services at fullest not to extended the gold membership time.
