    Xbox Media Remote startup lag


    My Xbox one media remote does not work for approximately 1-2 minutes after starting my xbox from fast start up. I am able to use the "xbox" button on the remote to turn the console on, however once it has booted up it is not able to control the Xbox for
    a few minutes. After a few minutes the remote works fine and can perform all of the functions. Controllers are still able to connect and work with the Xbox during this time. This is annoying to me because I purchased the remote to avoid having to turn on my
    controllers when I only want to watch some tv. Any one else having this issue or know a fix? Thanks

    Having trouble getting the new Xbox 360 Media Remote to work with my Xbox 360 console.

    Update to my last post:

    If you have the current version of the Xbox 360 Dashboard, follow this command path -- System Settings > Console Settings > Remote Control

    You will see 2 options listed: "Both Remotes" (allows you to use either the Xbox 360 Media Remote or a Windows Media Center Remote) and "Xbox 360 Media Remote" (sets the system to accept input from only an Official Xbox 360 Media Remote, or an Officially Licensed
    3rd party equivalent.) Make sure your system is set to "Xbox 360 Media Remote" then exit out of the System Settings menus and try the remote again.
