Xbox making people pay for repairs

I have had xbox one since day one. That first xbox, i needed repaired 4 times in a 6 month span. 16 months ago, i upgraded to the one S. The system is now fried and xbox is wanting to charge me $200 for a repair. Been a loyal customer since the original
xbox and they'll do nothing for the customer. Anyone else have a tough time with their customer service? I'm about ready to switch over to sony after 17 years with xbox.

Thanks for the tip... i just think 5 repairs is excessive.

Those decisions are made by support. You could try escalating the request to see if you can get a different answer. It is not likely but it is definitely worth a try.

Sony charges for repairs on their consoles too. If you have had the S over a year then it is out of the warranty period and yes you will be charged for any repairs.

Agreed, but 4 repairs in a 6 month span? Maybe you want to help the customer.

You only get charged for a console repair if the one year standard warranty has ran out. It's common practice for most companies, including Sony.
