My xbox one makes a loud staticy/harddrive noise when turned on, specifically on the dashboard and on games that utilize the harddrive alot.

The noise is very audible, exactly like this one

I sent the xbox in to micorosft, just received it back, only to find it with some scratches and the same exact noise being there (it was brand new xbox that i barely used).

What is the deal here? is this normal? it sounds on par with an old windows 95 era PC with a very, VERY old harddrive, mixed with some type of a static sound

Loud Clicking Noise

Hello! Ive experienced the same issue with my Xbox. I was lucky enough to still be under warranty and Microsoft sent me a new Xbox. All i had to do was send them my old broken one once i got the replacement. Unfortunately Microsoft never told me the issue
of loud clicking noise in my Xbox I was just told i would need to replace the console. Hope this helps. Good luck with everything!!

Xbox packaging and repair

Hi! Hoping to find some help on this issue.

Two weeks ago I got an Xbox One S. Because of the fan making that loud noise typical of those fan problems, I sent it to Microsoft so that they would take care of the problem. Today I received a package with the the same Xbox but without the original packaging
and without the noise issue being solved.

I'd be very happy if someone knew how to handle the situation!

I can't hear any actual clicking in the video since the fan is too loud. However clicking in the harddrive usually means that the drive is starting to fail
(So nice that they warn you about it right ?). If you believe it's the harddrive making the noise then I would suggest moving all your data to an external harddrive
(given it's empty and you don't need it for anything else but your Xbox) and shipping your console for repair while it's still under warranty.

How much does the clicking occur ?

Is your console making a loud noise when its loading a game? Or is it a constant loud noise even when it's not processing anything.
