    Xbox Makes Internet Slow to a Crawl


    I am using an Xbox Slim on wireless connection. When I unplug my Xbox I get around 26 mb/s. When I plug my Xbox in all of my Internet slows to as low as .06 mb/s. Any solutions?

    Xbox One S with Netgear R7000

    try disabling WMM, don't know how much it would affect Xbox Live(if at all) as it is an automated form of QoS and in Belkin and Cisco routers i've first hand seen this feature slow internet browsing to a crawl, haven't seen an issue with Netgear, but might
    be something else to try.

    Do you know if you have your router configured with special requirements, to dedicate bandwidth, throughput for your Xbox (also known as QoS (Quality of Service))?

    Disk install (doesn't seem to be progressing)

    If you are installing off of a disc, make sure you disconnect your internet so the game and any updates will not be fighting against each other therefore slowing the install to a crawl 90 % of the time.
