Xbox lost, can we play our games on a new one?

Yes, you just need to sign into the same accounts. Then you can redownload any purchases you had.

As has already been said. Also make sure the new Xbox is set as your home console as well so the digital rights for the games also transfer over so other accounts can use the games if you have more than one on the console. The old 360 you had to do this per game. Hope that helps.

Any digital games or DLC you paid for are tied to the account that paid for it and the gamesaves are auto synced to the cloud.

I've got an Xbox One X and Series X and I have the digital games on both of them.

As for the gamesaves, whenever you start a game on your new console the game will sync with the cloud to download the gamesave.

This post is by our new gamer tag which we want to get rid of and keep our original one with all our data but it just continues to log us in with this new gamer tag and the old one seems to be lost apart from on the Xbox one.

Come on Xbox. You need to note that this is an actual problem an that us fans are losing our money. I've lost £15 and these guys lost $20. We are just asking for a refund so we can wait for the issue to be resolved. Or we want the game we played for.
