Xbox loses audio when switching games/streaming videos

It sounds like you were experiencing an issue with your Xbox and Samsung TV where the audio would stop working when switching between games or streaming videos. You were able to resolve the issue by going to the settings on your Xbox and Samsung TV, navigating to the TV and Display options, and then enabling the "Allow YCC 4:2:2" option under the Advanced Video Modes. This resolved the issue and allowed you to play the new Dead Space remake with sound.

You seriously have NO clue, Endgamez... I never stated HDMI v1.3/v1.4 Compliant Devices have the issue & it is HDMI v1.2 devices, that have the issue.. (eg. Xbox 360)

You are also using an Audio Video Receiver, that can obviously handle multiple HDMI Streams when Switching & doesn't lose synch with the Xbox 360 Console etc...

I'm also noticing some visual artifacting/defects even when the stream is playing. Small bits of static or other artifacts that are most noticeable against a dark background are pretty much everywhere when viewing the signal from my HTPS. Since my initial
post, I've switched to using my HTPC's optical output and send this directly to my receiver. With the audio bypassing the Xbox One, I can hear a smooth, uninterrupted audio stream while the video stream will frequently hitch, pause, and then resume (back in
sync). I can't say for certain, but the hitching might be *slightly* better after switching audio output.

So, if you switch from party chat to in-game chat, your stream will also switch to in-game chat audio. For example, some capture cards have separate audio inputs for game sound and chat sound, so you can choose which one to include in your stream.
