Xbox logo remains present when watching TV

I have searched but couldn't find a post related to this.

Since the last update I have noticed that the Xbox Logo remains in the top right corner of the screen whilst using the TV app, also Kinect becomes unresponsive.

If I turn the Xbox off and on the Xbox logo will usually disappear, however only a hard reset restores Kinect.

I cannot determine any specific conditions under which this occurs and it may be that the Xbox Logo and Kinect issues are separate, however they always occur together.

My Xbox is in 'Always On' mode and boots straight to TV. My provider is Sky and I have a Sky + HD box (500gb) if that helps.

Re-sign screen is bugged

When I get signed out while watching Netflix (due to a random disconnection) it presents a gray screen with the options of "Sign back in" and "Exit Netflix"."Exit" works as expected. "Sign back in" brings up sign-in options just like through the Xbox Guide,
but remains on the gray screen afterward.

I CANNOT SEE PICTURE WHEN I INSERT A DVD IN THE XBOX!!

I can hear the audio but cannot see the movie picture on my tv screen. Instead i see the Xbox 360 logo like when you first start up the Xbox and it remains there throughout the movie. I am using an hdmi cable on my original xbox 360 and i used to be able
to watch movies before without a problem... please help!!

Try saying "Xbox Stop Listening" to see if that works to remove the logo.

I too, am having this problem. It is not the XBOX logo that appears when you're using Kinect, and saying "Stop Listening" does not make it go away. It's just the regular white XBOX logo that appears on the home screen.

Along with Kinect being unresponsive, the settings menu is unusable. Like the OP said, only a hard reset makes this issue go away. If I put the XBOX into Energy Saving mode, making it hard boot every time, the issue goes away, but that's not an acceptable
resolution, because it makes the "Instant On" and game resume features useless.

Any other information on this topic would be great.

The logo is not just present for the UI or home screen. It appears to be there for all MS Xbox apps. For instance if you watch a movie on Xbox Video the Logo is present. As a result I already have the logo "ghost". So until there is an option to remove
or dim this logo I will not be using any Xbox Apps and skipping through the home screen straight to the games!

Note, I have a very modern screen with screen burn protection!

If you're referring to if the Microsoft logo is present when selecting the hard drive, then, yes, it's present.

That's odd. I don't know if you have recent Samsung TVs, but I also have 2 Samsung TVs and in my case nothing's happening.

Could be that specific models are affected. Don't forget to attach the models in your feedback

One is RU7100, don't know the other one.

A quick solution until Samsung pushes a hotfix is to soft-reset the TV when the issue presents (hold the power button on the Samsung TV remote until the logo appears)
