Xbox logo in top right corner during movie playback

Hi Guys,

It doesn't seem to matter if im playing a blueray or streaming from my phone or even streaming live tv, I've got the bright white xbox logo in the top corner of the screen.

This was never there up to about a week or two a go.

Anyway, sometimes it is on for about 5 seconds flashes off and then back on again where as currently its doinh the opposite, off for about 5 seconds and then flashing on for 1 before going off again.

Been told a hard reset will sort it, it did the very first time, but now it doesn't make any difference.

Why is it there? my blur ray player doesn't have a giant sony symbol shining brightly at me throughout movies so why does this thing. If I stream to my tv from my phone my Samsung doesn't do it!!

There needs to be an update with the option to turn it off... For two reasons.

1, its bloody annoying, especially during dark scary movie scenes where its like the sunlight shining from the corner of my screen.

2, it may possibly damage some tv screens?

Anyway Microsoft, what you going to do... Oh yeah, nothing, as normal.

Netflix "Back" button appears on-screen

Netflix "Back" button appears on-screen during playback in the bottom right corner and doesnt disappear. How do i get rid of this? Its very annoying

 

Plasma TV has permanent burn in from xbox one logo

im sending this out again as a cautionary tale and asking for help. My plasma has permanent burn in from the xbox logo that appears on the top right corner. I've tried everything to get rid of it to no luck.

Anybody have any ideas.

Its not intentional, and should not be there.

Could I just cofirm that you are doing the hard reset correctly? Holding down the power button until the console switches off, leaving it for a minute, then turning it back on? You should be seeing the green xbox loading screen when you turn it on, this
confirms you have done the hard reset correctly.

If that doesn't work... then what I think it is is the Kinect. It is detecting either motion, or you voice and trying is loading. You can disable gestures during video playback by doing the following:

1.Press the Menu button on your controller, then select Settings.

2.Select Kinect.

3. Tick the box "Turn off gestures while watching Video"

Hopefully one of those two things will sort it out for you Otherwise let us know and we'll take it from there

Do you by chance have a LCD TV?

It could be image burn. You might of left the dashboard running for an extended period of time causing the TV to imprint an image of the Xbox dashboard onto the screen. Being that the logo is white it might of burned and imprinted onto the display.

It is quite common with LCD TV's. My parents had a news logo burnt into there LCD TV one time.

You could turn the television of at the wall for a few hours which might get rid of it otherwise it might disappear on its own in time. Just be sure to not leave movies on pause, leave the dashboard running or watch a lot of news program's
