Xbox login issue post mfa signon

I am having the same problem with all my Xbox games on Windows 10, except the Xbox Live game Solitaire Collection. Jigsaw, Sudoku, Mahjong, and Jackpot no longer signon to Xbox. However, I can signon to Xbox.com with no problem. This has been going on since
the first week of January. Had no problems until then and I was playing the games every day last year...

That doesn't let me change xbox constantly requesting a 2nd email or a phone number. I understand the security proofs and their purpose. But putting me through hopes to login to signon to my xbox live profile on my own xbox does not provide any extra security.
The plain truth is MS is phishing for our phne numbers and other email accounts we may have. This is none of their business, period.

This totally made sense to me, thanks for posting. I found that signing out and then signing back into the XBOX app before launching the game helped. I think the process that checks for some sort of MFA token during the installation process is not working
correctly... perhaps it times out?

Remove the launcher and install the new version via the Mojang website. When you log into the launcher, use the option to log in with your Microsoft account that was used in the account migration process.

Used the installer to remove the existing instance. On completion, installed the launcher using the msi available from https://launcher.mojang.com/download/MinecraftInstaller.msi . No change observed, all issues remain as originally described.

I'm gonna try server edition, not that I think it'll help. :/
