Xbox Login after getting Hacked

Hi,

I really need some help with my Xbox account. It looks like my Microsoft account got hacked and someone removed my email and replaced it with an unknown one. Now I can’t access anything. Now it seems like the account is linked to an email I’ve never seen before. I tried recovering the account but quickly got over it and now I'm trying to use a new Microsoft account.

Xbox keeps automatically signing in with this new email that replaced my old one. I can’t log in using my original email or even switch to a different account.

It’s like I’m locked out completely.

My Xbox App keeps signing in with the new email account automatically and I don't know how to switch the account.

I tried resetting the app's data and even uninstalling and reinstalling the app again but the log in pop-up is still there with the unknown email
There is also this error after I try closing the pop-up : 0x80004005
The only solution I could think of would be reinstalling windows and trying to sign in but I think that's a bit much for such a problem.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox community. I'm sorry to hear that your account got compromised. You also mentioned that you are having issues logging in to your old email since your new email is automatically logging in.

Delete all Xbox and Microsoft from your credentials manager. There is a high possibility that your new credentials are saved in your cache and being used automatically.

Credential Manager lets you view and delete your saved credentials for signing in to websites, connected applications, and networks.

Click on Start > Search for Credential manager > Windows credentials. Search for Xbl|DeviceKey, click on it and then Remove. Also, remove all the XblGrts and XboxLive credentials.

Having the same issue here since I installed the xbox live update yesterday. Delete and reinstalled program also and still null. I read it was due to a hack on netflix after the update but can't get it to work. Login works fine on the home PC.

they can hack your account if someone gets your login info.

Every instance of compromised account I've ever heard of was not anyone hacking Xbox, but either tricking the user into giving up info, hacking someone's 3rd party email, or gathering login info using key-logging malware. In that order. Keep your info
safe, keep your security proofs up to date and verified, and try not to use the same login info on less secure sites run by smaller companies. All someone has to do is get you to login to a site, view the information you submitted, and try using that login
on some other service, like Xbox. It does happen.

It is always the victims fault. It's next to impossible to get "hacked" on Xbox. And the only way someone can access your account is if they have your login info. You could have signed into a friend's computer with a keylogger, or maybe you just gave away
your info. But I definitely know you didn't get hacked, but phished.
