Xbox log in not validating on Epic Games

Trying to log into Fortnite / link my new switch and we've managed to do it for one switch / account combo but not the second, it keeps saying third party validation isn't working when we try and log on via the pc

We have tried changing the password and waiting over 24 hours but it seems the only place we can launch / play fortnite with the correct account is on the xbox and I've got one very unhappy teenager.

I've dropped an email to Epic but it seems the issue is with the xbox validation

any thoughts to help a desperate parent out?

On what platform are you getting the 3rd party validation error message?

Account linking is done via the Epic Games website and if you are having issues logging into and linking your switch, it is a Nintendo product, which is outside of our remit.

I am pretty sure this is an Epic Games issue as just because the game works on Xbox, that means other platforms may be experiancing issues.

The problem is with validating the xbox log in. I can't do it on any platform including pc aside from linking the accounts.

It's only an issue authenticating the xbox log in. If we could that it would link.

Thanks for coming to the forums. Unfortunately, this is either Nintendo switch or epic games. You will need to reach out to Epic games for the issue. As your accounts work fine on the Xbox.

Were you able to validate on their end if your Xbox profile is linked to your Epic games account?

Hello Cody, If you play Fortnite on the console or on the PC, if you bought the V-Buks through the Microsoft store, you must log in with your Xbox account on a console and log into Fortnite so that they can be validated in your account.

If you play on PC through the Epic launcher they will not be validated, for that you will have to follow the procedure I mentioned above.
