    So I live in CA and im visiting Iran and understand that Xbox Live isn’t available here thanks to Trump. However, I know for a fact that you COULD play offline games, however I can’t log into my xbox account at all, and microsoft customer support didn’t
    help. I’ve rested my console and have to log back into many accounts that I don’t even remember the password of and it still wouldn’t work. I tried going offline as well but still nope. So as soon as I try to log in it says: Service not available. You appear
    to be in a region where this service is not available. ( 0x80a4041 ). Any help would be REALLYYYYY appreciated.

    Yeah in places like Iran, China etc.. Their internet is locked down to their country only so people use a VPN, Virtual private network within their own local home network, which bypasses these controls and allows people to access the wider web. This is
    your only option now in my opinion,short of waiting till you leave Iran.

    Use a VPN like Private Internet Access or Nord VPN on your router. You can make it look like you are logging into Live in the USA or any number of other countries. That will be your only solution I can think of.

    If youre trying to say I would have been able to play if I simply went offline and logged in, that’s on xbox for having me reset.

    Hi there,

    it might be something only happening in specific regions. Regarding the setting offline part, you might need to be in a supported country in order to do that, which would mean that you are in the situation where you can't set to play offline, which would
    in such case mean that you can't really do anything about it.

    Perhaps others have any other ideas, but this is my assumption in regards your situation.

    The only thing that you could try is not connect the console to internet at all, so not by wire or wireless and then try to set the console to offline mode
