    Xbox Live Wrong Language


    Hello,

    I have an xbox live account which is set to Switzerland as it has been asked when I first created my outlook mailbox. There are 4 official languages in Switzerland and where I live the official language is French.

    However some Xbox Live menu in My xbox are in German. I figured out I have an option called "Moving your Xbox Live Account" and I can select Deutsch (Schweiz) or francais (Suisse). For the record "Schweiz" and "Suisse" are the local translation of Switzerland.

    I tried to change but I am getting an error "There's a problem completing your move right now. Please check the Region Check Support Page to make sure it will work for you, and try again later".

    Can you please help?

    you don't need to move your account out of the region, I live in Colombia and my xbox is in English for example, but here the official language is Spanish, either way, you can select any language no matter where you are located

    It seems the account location and the console region/language are two separate things.

    For the account, you really need to be in your own country due to licensing restrictions, taxes, etc.

    For the console settings, this is the sad part. Microsoft has locked the available countries based on language. In saying this, you may need to change your region completely to access your specified language.

    whats wrong with your dashboard?

    there is no way to delete an xbox account

    you will have to create an new account if you selected the wrong region

    you can also change the locale setting on your console settings for your prefered language locally

    but only supported languages will show up on your xbox live account and marketplace
