Xbox live works on Xbox 360 but not Xbox One

When I got my Xbox one it came with a free gears of war game which had a 2 day Xbox live trial mainly for the Xbox one, I typed the code into the Xbox one and it came up with "Xbox 360 2 day free trial download" or something like that, I confirmed it and
found out that the Xbox one didn't have any access to it which didn't makes sense to me as it came with an Xbox one game. I also got halo 5 which has a 14 day free trial, wrote in the code on my XOne and it only works on the 360. My accounts are obviously
connected otherwise I would get the Live working on the 360 but how can I fix this? Is there some settings I need to change?

MY XBOX ONE HAS XBOX LIVE BUT MY 360 DOES NOT. My account appears silver on 360 but xbox one works fine...HELP

360 and One on same gold account

If I sign in to Xbox Live on my Xbox One, will I also be able to sign in on the same account on my 360 at the same time? Say someone is using the Xbox One in the living room and I'm playing my 360 in my bedroom. Will I be able to use the same account?

WHITTEN: Yes this works! You'll be able to be signed on with the same gamertag on both an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One console at the same time. However, like today, you can only be signed into one Xbox 360 and one Xbox One at a time

I can't sign in to Xbox live on 360.

I can sign in on my Xbox One, but if I choose 360 games on my Xbox one it says the same. But Xbox One games works fine?

Hi,

There is no such thing as an Xbox 360 account. All Live accounts work on all live supported systems, 360, Xbox One and PC. You need to use the same account you use for your Xbox One with BC games.

One. ... Your Xbox Live account on 360 will carry over to Xbox One.
That same account will work on both platforms.

If you mean xbox 360 games compatible to play on xbox one then there is a whole list of games that are compatible

See the link below for Xbox Live supported countries, and official Xbox statement. As you can play Xbox offline anywhere, however Xbox Live may or may not work depending on which country you're in.

Hardware wise, it can't be done to link an xbox one to the 360. However, if the game you want to play is backwards compatible, it could link up to the 360 game in the 360 through Xbox live. Offline and without Xbox live, it won't work.
