Xbox live won’t work with gameshare

I am having the same issue! Started on Monday. I thought it was just a day thing. but still the same issue. Tried resetting the gameshare but no luck.

Any idea on how to get this fixed?

Thank you for taking the time to reply to this thread.

As long as your buddy has an Xbox Live Gold subscription on the account that he is sharing with you, you should be able to play multiplayer games online.

It could be possible that he as well has another account that is set-up as his Home Xbox and that is how he is receiving Gold benefits.

It would be worth re-setting the Home Xbox on your console, if possible [you do need certain information to access ones account], and also have them verify the status of their subscription by checking out the

Services and subscription page online.

Go ahead and give this a try and if you can confirm the information as well, we should be able to identify what the source of all this is.

As long as your friend set up your new console as his home, it would still be shared with you.

However, you can try re-syncing your account into the console. Ensure that you know your Microsoft account and password before doing so and your console is connected to the internet.

-Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

-Profile & System > Settings > Account > Remove account

-Select the account that you want to remove, and then select "Remove" to confirm.

-Once done, select Close.

Then, you can restart your console > long-press Xbox button on the controller > Restart

Lastly, sign in to your account again by:

-Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

-Go to Sign in > Add new

Once done, try any multiplayer game again.

Thank you but would that still work on my problem because am still able to use his games but cant join partys nor play online its keep asking me for gold
