Xbox Live wired connection

Hi, I have read through many of these forum posts and tried many thins with no luck so hopefully someone can help....

I recently bought an Xbox One and have it setup through a BT homeHub 5 router and Apple Time Capsule as a wireless access point. It is connected to the TC via ethernet cable and power line adapter.

I have an internet connection to the Xbox with good speed as I have BT Infinity and this shows on the Network settings page.

Trying to play COD: Advanced Warfare, will not let me access the multiplayer. At present it is the only game I have so can't test it with other games.

If I test the multiplayer connection, it says my DHCP settings are incorrect and to restart my router. I have done this numerous times but no change.

The NAT is moderate and I think should be open. I have followed instructions to change settings within the HomeHub and done this. My NAT then became open but still would not connect to Xbox Live.

If I remove the ethernet cable and use it wirelessly, I can access Xbox Live with no issues. I would prefer a wired connection if possible to ensure the greatest connection speed. I just can't understand why it works wirelessly but not wired.

are you connected to Live via wifi or are you hard wired?

It is probably the TC that is causing the issues here. Is there any way to connect your console directly to the router instead of the TC?

I had already tried that but it didn't work. I have now moved my router and the xbox is wired directly to that. I think there must be an issue with the power line adapter.

I did want them in separate rooms for various reasons but no real issues.
