Xbox Live voice chat (party/game) not working.

Recently as of last week, my Xbox headset began intermittent connectivity with outgoing voice. Then moments after it completely stopped working. I can hear the voice of others through headsets but no voice comes out. When I try to use an adapter I am told
a loud screech sound is all that can be heard from my end. Using a regular headset the screech does not produce but still no voice output from party of game chat. The chat indicator recognizes there is a mic plugged in though. Controllers work fine I have
tried separate controllers, multiple mics and adapters. I have hard reset my xbox, my controllers have been updated, I have an open NAT type and of refreshed network connections. I have unplugged and plugged connections to xbox, network and controller. No
luck. I can't communicate on xbox live via voice and that is a service I need for my subscription. I hope someone can help. I also have read similar topics from the forums and am to believe this is an ongoing issue.

Party chat will only be available to live players. To chat with cross network gamers the app would probably need to implement some sort of voice or party function.
