Xbox live updates literally killing me

Why can't these updates have some forewarning? I'm playing online then all of a sudden I'm kicked off for some random update, leaving me afk in game and getting me killed. It's ***.

Update still causes hang at sign in

No matter what i do my xbox wont do anything if i accept the update. This is killing me because i literally got internet yesterday, and got a year of xbox live and now i may as well not have internet at all. Is there any solution to this? Ive noticed that
the service alert says it was fixed. But not for me.. So what should i do? Light it on fire?

 

Being stalked online

neither seems eager to do anything for me here. I can literally do nothing because I have two people following me killing me endlessly\

Thank you for the response. So this is not normal? Xbox Live has been working fine for me otherwise, but this has happened to me twice in the last two weeks.

 

No problem! And yes, Microsoft has received a ddos attack and this attack has messed up servers. Multiple players have been experiencing difficulties with Xbox Live but rest assured, Microsoft is currently working on resolving this issue!

Hello. No, I haven't had connectivity issues otherwise. It's just that a couple times now I've been kicked off of Live for an update and I don't seem to remember this happening until the last few weeks. Afterwards I am able to get right back on, but it totally
screws up my current match.

Just to clarify, are you still being disconnected from Live, while prompted for an update? If so, is your Xbox able to process this update, or does it get discarded?

 

Live has been working fine for me since the last time this happened, which was on the 11th. When I am disconnected and prompted for an update the update seems to process fine, since after the console restarts I am able to get right back online.
