    I have done research with this error code i have been given and they state that it is because of a modified xbox but i have never modified it and i am the only person who has owned it. It says there is an xbox live update that it says i need but as it
    downloads the status code: 4476-4497-1780-0701-C000-0099 comes up.

    They have an update goin' for the controller too? Not use to this with Xbox 360. Genuine Xbox consoles generally have a secure connection to Xbox Live so if your console tells you you have an update it's legit. The thing I love with updates on Xbox 1 is
    that the console doesn't abruptly disconnect you from Xbox Live every time there's an Xbox Live Update this happens with Xbox 360.

    That code means your console could not download the update. Can you try a direct connection from your console to the modem via ethernet cable?

    The update could not be downloaded from Xbox LIVE. Try the following:

    1. Try installing the update again.
