xbox live update 12/13/16

Yesterday it worked fine. got up this morning and couldnt sign in. turns out there was an update but even when microsoft got done, it still wont let me sign in. I'm on my pc right now and and clearly connected to the internet. i can play all steam games
from Black ops 3 and left 4 dead 2, etc.. i use the xbox app on my pc which is windows 10 and is a 1607 build and still wont work. all it keeps saying no matter what account i sign in on (i have multiple xbl accounts) it just keeps saying 'you're not connected
to the internet. check your network connection and try again'.

before that it was something like ' cannot connect to the network' or something along those lines. ive done mutliple restarts and ipconfig 's and am now updating windows which i doupt will solve the problem seeing that windows 10 never seems to work.

Since the game update yesterday 13/12/16 my game will not log in and is the same time your system had a login failure please help.
