Xbox Live Unavailable

It's the DARNEST thing.

was playing destiny, and got kicked out of party chat, game lagged a bit, and then it refused to let me into or create any party chats. It was at 4pm MST and it just kinda got worse from there. Started getting a connection error, saying come back later.
So I did, (had stuff to do anyway).

Came back around 10p MST (yep 6 hours later) and it refused to sign into my xbox live account at all. So I decided to run a network test and was told my NAT was set to moderate.

Cue the fun. Contacted Xbox, to try to figure out why now ... all of a sudden, was told it was an ATT problem... spent two hours with ATT getting them to fix my download speed (they said that was the issue at first). Still didn't fix the error. Spent another
hour with their service department, Opening ports (and learning way more about routers than what is probably safe) to no avail. So I contact Xbox support, tell the guy (Andrew) all the loops I've already run, the error code and what i've checked and done so
far which is as follows :

RESET Gateway

RESET Xbox

RESET Internet in X Box

OPENED Ports

CLOSED PORTS

OPENED DMZ

CLOSED DMZ

Opened PORTS AGAIN (please note, before today, never had a problem with ports... )

gone through the entire xbox list of suggestions.

Andrews response was to... sit and wait.... and try again later (which had me fuming because he then admitted he didn't see where I waited 6 HOURS)

the only answer he could tell me was sit and wait. Despite me telling him about the NAT error etc. he was stuck on the darn original error code.

Where are the sonic games?

On Xbox live. My daughter and I just beat the first 2. They arnt even on the store anymore and 3 is unavailable to download. Did something happen?

 

For what it's worth,

I reloaded my Profile to my External drive in the xbox... and it's working..

so while i would say it's "resolved" i do want to add it's due to me, not tech support, who in the second go around, just left me hanging. Pretty scary that this is how Xbox treats some of their clients
