Xbox live trial membership

I recently ran out of Xbox live gold, so I purchased another subscription and am currently awaiting it's arrival. To pass the time I activated a 2 week trial membership. When my official member ship arrives can I just redeem that code whilst having a trial
membership active or do I have to wait for it to run out.

Also if I do redeem it whilst the trial period is active will that cause any issues to occur ?

Gold Membership Codes

For anyone who has a Gold membership with Xbox Live, have you seen these coupon offers? Supposedly, you can either get Xbox free or get a free trial offer for as long as one year. There might be a catch, but maybe they're just doing it to promote the Gold membership. Has anyone ever gotten a free trial?

I haven't seen any of those coupon offers that you mentioned, however I do see coupons advertised on the Xbox Live dashboard all the time for a certain percentage off when you renew your membership. I think the best offer I've seen yet is for half off, if you renewed your membership that day.

 

Trial memberships and actual subscriptions do not stack. Meaning if you use the subscription as soon as it comes your trial will end. You can wait to add the subscription or redeem it immediately without issue.
