Xbox live trial for 72 hours

Hello. I did a quick search for answer on these forums but found nothing so far. So apologies if this has already been answered somewhere.

I received a message from xbox live yesterday:

"Try Xbox Live Gold 21/3 through 23/3! It’s the perfect time to play your favourite games online with friends. Plus check out your favourite apps, enjoy HD movies, TV shows and music."



I don't know how to redeem this free trial. Could anyone help me with this?

Nope first you don't get gold for 2 day trials

You only get temporary multilayer options no party chat or.games for.gold.

You don't pay for 2 day trials

 

I've had the same message but also saw an ad for it on the 360 dashboard earlier in the week. Thought that meant it was a free weekend. But when I went into a few games said I didn't have the right Xbox Live permissions or similiar wording to that.

 

You don't have to redeem it. As it applies to everyone on the service, it should just start working. Have you attempted to play anything online at all?

 

if you recieved this as an email, the description at the end provides a more accurate starting time (eg in my Region ist 1pm)

 

Which region is that, Prideloss?
