Xbox Live trial codes; wrong product

I purchased an Xbox One and Halo 5 today. Both came with Xbox Live trial codes and both provided me with Xbox live for Xbox 360 only. I can't play my Xbox One online. Why would Xbox 360 codes be bundled with Xbox one products? Can I get replacements?

Some games come with a free trial of Xbox Live for a certain amount of time, mostly just a 48 hour trial. When you first buy the game new, within the box there's a sheet of paper with a code for Xbox Live. I have gotten two codes when I bought Halo 4 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. I've never seen a one month code.

360 codes are the same as one code.

Now if yiu are tryingnto do ranked matches in halo 5 that wont work...

For trial cards you can only do social matchea

 

I'd like to believe that is true but my experience has been otherwise.

After accepting the codes, I received a message about a 14 day trial for Xbox 360. After activation, I was able to enter lobby's but the game could not be launched. This is for any game type -- campaign coop, custom match, doesn't matter.

I also received a trial code when purchasing the digital copy of the game. This code allows me to play any game type.

 

Well first campaign coop would be ranked and custom game is ranked also

Only social matches which arent availavle yet

(forge custom games)

 

No with halo they are specific non ranked games

This includes destiny where it requires actual gold

 

Destiny is only ranked matches and coop
