Xbox LIVE tests my patience

There are two Xbox 360's in this house: mine and my son's. He's playing Minecraft and I'm playing Diablo III. Randomly, it decided to pop up that I had lost connection to Xbox Live. About ten to fifteen seconds later, my son also had the same issue.

I turned to look at my modem and it's completely green across the board. I checked the internet connection on my laptop and it also works just fine. "Strange...", I thought. Maybe they're pushing out a massive update to dedicated Xbox LIVE servers? I didn't
know then and I don't know now.

What irritates me is that the possibility of the origin of this error could be resolved by troubleshooting MY connection. My connection is fine. The Xbox can talk to the Network. The Network's gateway address can access the internet. The INTERNET can't talk
to Xbox LIVE. I need to unplug my modem or restart my router? No. I need to do anymore excessive UDP port forwarding? No. This isn't isn't with my cable internet. The issue is clearly with Xbox LIVE.

Whoever set up these troubleshooting guides clearly needs to have lost their job because someone doesn't know how to boldly admit, "Yeah... We're having an issue on our end and we'll looking into it."

When will this be resolved?

The lag is really starting to test my patience.

 

As of now there is a service alert going one. Xbox live support informs:

Affected platforms: Xbox One Xbox 360

Affected services: Joining other Xbox Live members in online games

Ironically that this occurs when I'm playing the game mentioned (vaguely) in the status messages but my son definitely wasn't. Furthermore, I wasn't trying to use Party Chat, Private Chat, Messaging, or Xbox LIVE Vision Camera to send picture messages either.

Also, for the record, the error message provided THIS time was 8015190B. Heh... Makes me want to pull my hair out. When I look up the error message, it doesn't tell me what the actual error is. Instead, it tells me the same ol' troubleshooting advice: reboot
router, reboot modem, delete profile, clear cache, redownload profile.

If there is a major issue with Xbox LIVE, the last thing anyone should do is to delete it off of their console with high hopes that Xbox LIVE would feel merciful enough to allow them to download it back to their console so that they could even access any
of their stuff offline.

Which I'm assuming that the question is generally, and professionally, being dodged with a Ctrl+C, followed by a Ctrl+V from the Xbox LIVE Status update. I'm also guessing that there's no possibility that an actual time frame for this issue to be resolved
is going to be given.

Aside from the service issue with Diablo III, Xbox also had a widespread issue today with connecting to Xbox Live in general. It is quite possible that this issue affected you and your son. The status page no longer lists this connection issue, so it should
be fixed now. Are you still having the same problem as you stated in your original post?

Gears of War 2 też nie działa. Próbowałem uruchomić grę z profilu z xbox live - od razu zawiesza konsolę. Co ciekawe profil bez xbox live bez problemu loguje się do gry,więc chyba to ma związek z usługą xbox live i z tym atakiem hakerów w weekend. Słyszałem,że
problemy mają gracze z Diablo 3, FIFA Ultimate Team w FIFA 14 , to ja dodaję od siebie,że nie działają też Gears of War 2

 

i keep getting the same kind of issues, we play mainly minecraft too or i watch sky and keep getting signed out of xbox live, im gonna do a seperate post on this though!!
