    Just happened to me and i just fixed this.

    Go here.

    live.xbox.com/.../Protection

    Click require profile download, then download profile on your xbox and all problems are fixed!

    strange to say, I have no problems with the second Xbox 360 in the same room, same network, same game....

    I did all the of the following and got it working again:

    1. Resetting the cache as described above

    2. Signing in to Xbox Live on my PC

    3. When I attempted to re-download by profile, it would fail repeatedly with the same error. Finally I restarted my console and tried again, and now it works.

    Hi all!

    Sorry to hear about the connection issues you're all experiencing. Could you all try

    clearing your cache     three times in succession, then turning your console off and back on and try again? Would you all also mind

    re-downloading your profile    ? To clarify, do not remove your profile, but rather follow the steps 1 - 3 to re-download your profile.

    Let us know if this works!
