xbox live tenure reset

so my xbox live tenure was reset or erased and i don't know why... I was not banned from anything and have not let my xbox live gold lapse... it should be at 11 almost 12 if not already 12. how do i get it back... I have had xbox live since halo 2.

Sorry about the delay, and your Live Tenure is counted in
consecutive years, not total years. If you pause your membership, your tenure will reset.

i joined xbox live in march 2011 and i got tenure 1 in march 2012 and i was due a tenure of 2 in march 2013 but it has reset my tenure to 0 yesterday please help

what happens now do i still get a 2 in 2013 or what please help

I had that issue, it took awhile before an update fixed it.

Hi CaptainKush....the number you are referring to is not the age of your gamer tag, it is the age of your tenure with Xbox Live Gold. If you were unable to play Xbox for a couple of years then you're tenure was reset back to zero. You can only go a couple
of months without gold on your account before it gets reset back to zero. The tenure is how long you have been a "consistent" gold subscriber. Hope that explains it.

Sorry to hear about your problem.

Yes, the number on the upper right of your GamerTag is the tenure of your Xbox Gold Live account.

It is a continuous count, so it will reset if there is a lapse in the membership.

Therefore, if you are currently a Free/Silver member, and start a Gold Live membership, the tenure will be zero.

Back to normal now. Didn't do anything special, just turned my Xbox on and it was there. Thanks for the help.
