Xbox Live Tanzania

Hi Guys

I have moved to Tanzania, Dar Es Salaam for work. Just got back from there after 2 months stay.

If I take my console there (Xbox 360) would I be able to connect to Multiplayer? I would only be playing COD games. I have about 10 months on my xbox live account left too.

Any help would be welcome.

Tanzania isn't an xbox live supported country so probably not.

Nearest country that is is South Africa.

 

What does that mean? Do I need to buy xbox live for South Africa?

I thought Xbox live was universal, so what do I have to do buy a console from South Africa and that would be registered there and that should work?

 

Xbox live is only supported in certain countries,a list can be found here

You wouldn't need a South African xbox ,all xbox's are the same,it's just the power brick varies region by region & some of the software as well.

Technicaly you could use xbox live but as Tanzania is not officially supported you might run into several problems with digital content & it's a bit of a grey area when it comes down to the ToU/CoC.

Just my luck I got no time to play in the UK and a lot more free time there. Oh well there is always golf to improve upon.

 

Um. Tasmania (correct spelling) is a gorgeous place... No where near South Africa , but infact part of Australia... Which I think you will find IS SUPPORTED by xbox live

If your in the capital Hobart or Launceston the net should be okay..

 

Read the op's post again.They clearly said Tanzania,not Tasmania.

Tanzania is an African country on the east coast.

I have the Xbox one S and i want to use the Xbox live features to play online here in tanzania but i know this country is not supported.

So what exactly would you suggest me to do?

Hi mate, don't worry it works in Tanzania just make sure you have a good internet connection. Purchase xbox live through your normal channel then connect the xbox to your home Wi-Fi and you can play on line.

The best answer is maybe. It's technically not in a supported country which means you would have limited support and certain functions and features may not work. You may discover that Xbox live works perfectly fine there, or that you won't be able to connect
at all (or just that certain features do not work).
