Xbox live 'system glitch'

Currently doing last year of school. Decided to play some xbox live for couple of hours. Like a smart person i decide to enter my code online, as its easier to type then use the joystick. Redeem my 3 day pass, update my xbox one, sign in, gold doesn't work.

Apparently there has been a server glitch and my code has been accepted but hasn't transferred to my account. Now i have to wait these couple of hours for live to be fixed. The couple hours i planned to play and paid for, turns into me waiting and ending
up not playing at all.

Called up xbox, apparently they can't do anything "That they don't create the codes". Im sure that you would be able to give a 6 year loyal customer that has gone through countless 360's a couple hours of live. What a disgrace.

If you have a 3 day pass and redeemed it online then it would have worked. However, please note that trial cards do not allow access to all online features. If you wanted to play multiplayer then you should note that trial cards are usually limited to
the games they came with when it comes to playing multiplayer.

The card i used was a general 72 hour card, not specifically tied to one game.

And yes, if i redeemed it online, it should have worked, but it didn't.

Still hasn't come through yet, xbox support said i have to wait......

By the time it comes through to my account, i reckon the live will be expired.

Mine isn't working either and when I try to just purchase it says there is a limit to the account so I must already have gold.

Then try to wait a few days, since is not only on the console is a bug/glitch on xbox live achievement system.

sometimes the system glitches and what you need to do is buy a xbox live prescription from a store and redeem the code that is the only way that I know how to fix it

Can you explain a bit more what is happening?

If you can't renew your subscription on xbox.com , you can also try to do it on the console.
