Xbox Live Suspension

Good Evening,

I have spent 35 minutes on a chat with a support representative that was unable to provide me with a reason for my son's communications being suspended this evening. He sent 2 party invites to a friend that he was trying to reach to discuss and complete
a homework assignment with this evening, which is something that they do often. After sending the second request, he received a message stating that his communication had been blocked. When I spoke to the representative through the chat, they were able to
see that he had a 24 hour communication ban, but could not give me a reason as to why it happen. They suggested that I file a claim review and sent me the link. I looked at this information while still in chat and informed them of the fact that this was
not a possible route because they were only for bans of 24+ hours. At that point, it was suggested that I add a post to this forum. The service request number is

I pay a decent amount of money for this service and would like to know why this communication ban was placed on my son's account, especially when the policy states violations that are very understandable. Yet nothing states sending party invites is a means
for violation. Nothing else had been done in means of communication errors that he or I are aware of. Again, I would like to know what the reason was for the ban, so that the situation can be resolved and prevented in the future! The only known violation
to your Code of Conduct occurred 3 to 5 months ago, when another gamer repeated used foul, vulgar language towards my son and his friends while playing an online game. He reported the incident and it continued...at which time, my son retaliated by telling
the kid to [Mod Removed]. Which is not condoned within our house hold, but when teenagers are continually pushed there will eventually be a push back. Just as with adults. Nothing was said or done by your Enforcement Team at this time.
Which is what has led to the confusion over this matter!

Your quick response to this matter would be appreciated because frankly I am very unhappy with Microsoft and the service that we have received over the past 6 months. I have over $800 worth of Xbox One hardware and Xbox Live accounts with very poor service.

I used to love reading the threads in that forum they were always good for a laugh.

 

Sorry, but support gave you incorrect information. No one on the forums has information about suspensions/bans, we are just fellow gamers, not employees. The email address attached to his account should have received an email about his suspension. Investigations
do take time, so suspensions are not instant. The current suspension could be for the incident from a few months ago.

 

While I appreciate the reply, here is my problem with it. Your response of the investigations take time and are not instant is not fully accurate. While I did not get much help from the support representative in regards to how to find out the exact nature
of the situation. I was told it was a minor incident related to today. I also seriously doubt that a kid who is cussing everyone out in a game is going to report on someone else commenting back to them rudely after being asked to drop it numerous times...why
because he would know that during the investigation he would only be incriminating himself as well for much worse. So thank you...I will continue this issue with Microsoft again tomorrow.

Smwutches is right,your son was probably suspended for something that happened months ago.

Support are nothing whatsoever to do with xbox live enforcement so not sure why they told you what they did.
