xbox live suspension

Going along with the computer insta -bans or people if you want to use that terminology. if you read

https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-US/home/howto#sub-topic0-5 it says the following , " While some Code of Conduct violations are immediately resolved, XBLPET also conducts reactive investigations. Many of these investigations are triggered by player complaints.
The Code of Conduct has no statute of limitations, and users may be enforced upon at any time for past offenses"

Therefor, if a real person was actually reviewing and creating a case for a ban, then that person would not have to do an insta-ban since there is no statue of limitations. a real person could build a case and send the evidence to the player along with
the ban so that the player understands exactly what is going on and MS does not have to engage in these types of debates.

This, folks, is why government is not run like the gestapo and MS should not be run that way either. I have been a paying customer for 10 years and never had a ban before.

I have no idea how to avoid this ban again as your computer won't tell me what's going on and you won't provide me access to the "real people" making decisions

 

also I was banned within 4 minutes of filing my complaint. explain that one away. I filed my complaint against the crew at 1.20 pm and the ban shows as starting at 1.24 pm the same day.

 

In this context, "immediately resolved" means the XBLPET member saw the evidence and said "yep, they did it" and suspended the account. There is no "case" to be built ... you either broke the Code or you didn't. The Code of Conduct governs our own behavior
regardless of what others are doing, so "they started it" and "they did it too" are not considered rationale for breaking the Code.

Again, short-term suspensions are considered like a time-out or being sent to your room. If you do believe that users should be sent more specific information, you're free to request it at

Lastly, as Smwutches said, we are not Microsoft employees. We are fellow gamers who volunteer our time to help out.

 

Easily explained ... your report had nothing to do with your suspension. The timing there is mere coincidence.

 

ok good so you agree that the system steamrolls people without accountability and that it's ok because they're following the "rules," whoever "they are."

why don't you, as clearly someone more invested in the system than me, push for accountability in the ban system?

 

prove it . have the "person" who reviewed it send me the evidence

Anyway, you've already received all the assistance we can offer here on these forums. As has been stated a few times, the responses here, including mine, are from volunteers from the Xbox community; they're gamers like you, and they happen to set aside some
time to help their fellow gamers.

To address some specific points you raised in this thread, there's no such thing as a computer-generated "insta-ban"; as Randy said in one of the later replies, the four-minute window between you reporting something and an action against yourself would appear
to be coincidental. As for the action itself, a 24-hour suspension is the lightest penalty available, hence there's no appealing it.

Arguing with the volunteers here won't change Microsoft's policy, and so I will lock this thread here.
