Xbox Live Subscription

I have 3 XB1's in my house. In order to play all three online at the same time do I need 3 separate xbox live subscriptions active? If so, why doesn't Xbox provide a deal for families that have multiple xboxes? I've read about xbox sharing, but that
is not something I'm interested in as I don't want multiple accounts on one xbox. I would suggest Microsoft sell a family xbox live subscription for $100/year or $20/month and get up to five live accounts for a family. I believe years ago you used to have
this, but now it's gone and it sucks.

Congrats! The Live subscription works for both the 360 and Xbox One. It's not different subscriptions.

I'm sorry to hear you're running into this issue. The only available option at the moment is going to be the

Game Sharing feature by setting up the Home Console. Unfortunately with this feature being that you have 3 Consoles you would still need to purchase 2 separate subscriptions. 1 so that you are able to share and the 2nd subscription for the 3rd console.

You can always submit a suggestion by going through our
User Voice site and submitting.

I'm not sure I understand. I only need to purchase 2 subscriptions in order to play an online game on 3 consoles all at the same time? I figured I would have to buy 3 subscriptions.

 

If you don't want to do the sharing, then yes, you would need 3 subscriptions. Otherwise you can get by with 2 subscriptions if you share. You don't actually have to leave multiple accounts on a console to share though. Once you set a console as a Home
console, you can remove your account from the console and sign into another one.
