Xbox live subscription running out 7 months early

Well that's [mod removed], I paid for 12months xbox live not ultimate rip off pass.

This should be clearly displayed somewhere when your renewing.

I would recommend signing onto your
Microsoft account on this page, then going to "Services & subscriptions". You should see a list of all subscription services and their current expiration dates. When you look at it there, does it show your expiration date sooner than you're expecting? Have
you made any other account changes (such as signing up for or cancelling Game Pass Ultimate)?

That would be the reason. If you were still on the Ultimate subscription when you added the gold subscription it would have been added at a different conversion rate (12 months of gold or game pass is equal to 4 months of Ultimate https://www.xbox.com/xbox-game-pass?xr=shellnav#faq).
In order to get the full amount, you have to add the gold after your Ultimate is over, not just with auto-renewal turned off.

It does. When you add a regular gold or game pass while you're on Ultimate, there is a pop-up when you're redeeming the code that warns you ti will be converted to Ultimate and it tells you how long the Ultimate will be extended so you can cancel the transaction
before using the code if you want. Otherwise, by completing the transaction you agree to the conversion.
