Xbox live subscription refund?

Is it possible for me to get a refund for the £39.99 that has just been taken out of my account even though I switched off auto renew?

I now have lost £40 and have a subscription I won't use.

Congrats! The Live subscription works for both the 360 and Xbox One. It's not different subscriptions.

The quickest way to receive a refund is to contact Xbox support via phone. Personal and financial information cannot be shared in the forums, for safety reasons of course. Here is the number for Xbox Customer Services who can help you resolve
this situation:

For US and Canada: 1-800-4MY-XBOX

For International Numbers: International Xbox Support phone numbers

This has a list of numbers by region/country.

For future reference, Games that require Xbox live will tell you in the overview, "REQUIRES XBOX LIVE GOLD, SOLD SEPARATELY."

Unfortunately there is nothing anyone in the forums can do to assist with the billing issue.

The game pass Ultimate subscription needs to be canceled and ended before the Live subscription can added. You can see if a refund can be issued and then purchase the Live subscription after the other subscription has ended completely. You can go to
