    A customer service rep suggested that I post here about my live subscription being prematurely cancled. I purchased a 1 month card on eBay, the guy sent the code to me through email and i redeemed it on xbox.com on the 28th of August without any issues.
    I got an email confirmation from Xbox stating that I have redeemed the 1month prepaid card. I have been playing online all week, but now today I got an email saying that my subscription was canceled? No-one has access to my MS account but me and I surely didn't
    cancel it in my sleep.. The CS rep said that the "Xbox enforcement team" may have had something to do with it because I purchased a "scam" code or something?

    Anyone care to confirm this is a possibility? I need proof that the eBay seller is indeed ripping people off before I confront him about it and open a PayPal claim..

    Congrats! The Live subscription works for both the 360 and Xbox One. It's not different subscriptions.

    Sethius Maximus,

    Your gamer card is showing in Silver so it's definitely showing that you don't have a Gold subscription. You can check

    enforcement.xbox.com/.../ShowEnforcements
    to see if there has been any Enforcement actions taken against your account. You are showing 0 gamerscore so not sure if your account was banned or if you really haven't earned any achievements. You can also check
    your account.microsoft.com/services to see if it shows anything there about your subscription.

    If your account did receive a suspension, then per the
    Code of Conduct
    :

    "UPON RECEIVING A PERMANENT SUSPENSION, ALL CONTENT LICENSES, GOLD MEMBERSHIP TIME, AND MICROSOFT ACCOUNT BALANCE ASSOCIATED WITH THE SUSPENDED ACCOUNT ARE FORFEITED."

    If you did receive an Enforcement Action, then the Enforcement site is where all other inquiries need to be directed since the Support folks can't assist in these matters. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

  6. No Enforcement cases have been filed towards this account.. I haven't the slightest clue as to why my gold subscription would magically end 3 weeks early.

    Yes this is the profile Im asking about.. It in fact does not have gold. I got the notification on my Xbox 360 dashboard this morning saying my subscription has "expired", and an email from Microsoft saying that my gold subscription was "cancled". It makes
    no [Mod Removed] sense that I redeemed a prepaid 1 month code successfully, then exactly 1 week later it is cancelled with no explanation.

  9. The wrong profile at least explains what we were seeing but since your Value Reality gamer card does show Gold, can you go to the
    account.microsoft.com/services and see what it shows for your Gold subscription "Expires On" date.

  10. Since it looks like it's nothing to do with Enforcement actions, you will want to call
    Microsoft Phone Support so they can investigate what is going on with your account or at least explain the e-mail about the cancellation when you didn't cancel it and it should have expired on
    September 28th.

  12. The only thing you can do at this point is either try calling phone support back or see if you can get a response from the folks on the Enforcement forums (forums.xbox.com/.../41.aspx)
    stating that you received a notice saying your Xbox Live Gold subscription was cancelled and phone support said it was an enforcement issue.

    Well after sitting on the phone for an hour with 2 different xbox customer service reps I was told that the code I purchased was "fraudulent" and it took their system a week to catch it. So it looks like Microsoft is slipping on staying ahead of scammers,
    because theirs no reason the code could be redeemed in the first place.. Thanks for trying to help eG x Thee Elf, much appreciated.
