Xbox Live Subscription payment method

I currently have an Xbox Live account, but the Xbox Live subscription has expired as we no longer are going to use the credit card that is associated with it. However, I have a code to redeem for 12 months Gold subscription, but I cannot cancel the automatically
renewing Xbox Live subscription because it states that the payment for the 12 months subscriptions is 'past due', even though I am not currently subscribed to Xbox Live. How can I cancel the automatically renewing credit card and replace the payment option
with the redeemable code?

it appears to me that I owe MXN $ 139.00, my microsoft balance is MXN $ 351.00 nevertheless it appears to me that I need MXN $ 212.00 note: this is for my xbox live pls fix it

Xbox live currency cannot be used tp pay off an xbox live subscription you will need a payment method

 

Best thing to do in this case in to contact support and they should be able to get this resolved. You can call them at 1-800-469-9269 US or Canada or chat with them here
support.xbox.com/.../contact-us. If not from either country be sure to change your region at bottom.

I want to remove the method of payment ( card) . But I can not do that , because the invoice for the automatic extension gold status xbox 360. Please remove the automatic renewal of the gold status and will invalidate the bill. I do not want to do again
