I have an activation code for 12 months xbox live gold, but when I entered the code on the website account.xbox.com, I have this message:

Try the code again.

Can not find the code you entered. Check the code and enter it again.

Could you check my activation code?

XBOX Live Gift Cards

There’s Xbox gift cards, which can be spent on anything in the store, and then there are Xbox Live subscription cards. If you bought a card specifically for Gold, then it’s just for that. I would go back to the store and exchange it for Xbox gift cards.

nobody can really check it for you as if they try to enter it and if they do it correctly it would redeem on their account. all I can say is keep trying sometimes the code is hard to reed numbers look like letters and letters look like numbers (number 8
looks like the letter B, number 0 looks like letter O, etc). you can also try to redeem it on your console as well good luck.

the only authority, which can check validity of your code is official Xbox chat or phone support, I personally needed it couple of monts ago

Gift cards do not work for Xbox Live, you need to buy an Xbox Live pre paid subscription card.

On Xbox 360 is Xbox live. It activates itself and the method of payment with credit card. But the card that was attached is no longer valid. I have money put on a single MS account, but I can't, the money did pay for a subscription to Xbox live. To stop

Also take in account, you have to purchase 3 months subscription. This doesn't apply if you buy a 3 month Xbox live gold card.

if the subscription to Live Gold expires or is cancelled then he would lose access to those free games until the subscription is renewed, but once renewed those games will be available.

as long as there is an active subscription that includes Live Gold it doesn't matter if it is paid with credit card, paypal, prepaid card, gift card or Microsoft Reward Points, all that matters is that it is paid for.

Prepaid cards usually do not work for subscriptions. You are buying a subscription which will be set to renew. That normally doesn't jive with prepaid cards (unless it's reloadable).

If it works for your region, you might be better off buying a prepaid code for Gold and using those cards.
