XBox Live Subscription card-“code deactivated “

I tried to explain this to customer service at Best Buy but was told when the card was scanned for purchase it was activated.

Try this:

• Log into Support.Xbox.com
  
• Scroll down, Click on Contact Us
  
• A new window will pop up
  
• Type in contact Support - you will receive different options, such as:
  
  • Message with an Xbox Gamer
    
  • Call me back
    
  • Ask the Community

You will need to contact the seller of the card and have them activate the card. That should be done at time of sale.

Typically, when a code is deactivated you need to contact the retailer, as per the article titled

Troubleshoot gift card and code issues.

Since its currently in a deactivated state, I would have to recommend that you
Contact Xbox Customer Support, as they would be much better equipped to assist you in addressing this matter further.
