Xbox live subscription canceled itself/unable to redeem the new code I have for it

To change your automatic renewal you can do so at xbox.com under the My Account option. Here is a link with detailed steps of what to do.

If you have a prepaid code, once you redeem it with either xbox.com or through your console, your membership will update with the new expiration date. Here is a link to steps for redeeming codes:

Thanks for the response. No, I can't see it there. Xbox Live is listed under canceled subscriptions, however I did redeem the code itself on my machine and it did say I was good to go, so I believe I actually redeemed it. Although it doesnt appear under
subscriptions, neither online or on my xbox, which is the weird part of this.

Your reply has nothing to do with the problem I am having right now. I live in the US, I bought the xbox live core card for the US as well. However my console was set to New Zealand while I input the code. If what you say is true, it shouldnt let me do that, but it accept the code. Now my xbox live core service is bound at New Zealand, I am unable to cancel it, unable to upgrade it, unable to switch the service to US or purchase new subscription for US.

Since redeemable codes are region-locked, I am afraid that you cannot redeem your code right now until your current subscription expires. You may contact the Xbox Support team to have it canceled manually for you to redeem your new code.

you can cancel the subscription by calling cs and they will send you a code for the remainder of time left on the subscription. then when you have your new console you can recover your gt and redeem the code
