    Xbox Live speeds not even approaching my ISP's


    My ISP is providing me with 60mbps down but my 360 downloads at or around 20-30. I know this because I have clocked the speeds myself. I've run various speed tests on my PC and every time, it's getting around 60 down. The ONLY place that it's running slowly
    is through Xbox Live and I'd like to know how to remedy the situation.

    how to speed up your download speed on your xbox one

    ok, so by changing my DNS settings on the Xbox, does it only change them on the Xbox device or on my router itself?

    I keep lagging out of every game i play and party chat every 20 minutes

    Well im still bummed up by this lag even after vacation and ive been playing xbox live for around 2 years with the same isp and nothing happened until this random day, it starts lagging me out every like 5 minutes. my connection has been compatible with
    xbox live so i know for sure its not my isp's fault nor is it microsoft's fault. i just really want to know if theres any other way to fix this issue instead of upgrading my internet speed connection just for xbox live. thx.

    It's likely that your ISP is throttling speeds to Xbox Live. I experience the same issue with my internet as well. It's quite frustrating.
    but why my ISP have to throttling speeds to xbox live? before latest xbox upgrade was all ok...

    It says my current usage is in the 120 KB/s, even though my internet is much faster than that. Is Xbox or perhaps my ISP gating the speed?

    ^This^ is what caught my eye. The recommended speed to have an enjoyable experience on Xbox Live is 3mbps down/0.5mbps up. So your upload speed is looking alright, but the download speed is about 1/2 of where it's recommended.
    You can refer to our Randomly Disconnected From Xbox LIVE support article for more information on that.

    Since that is the case, I would recommend contacting your ISP to discuss your bandwidth allocation.

    Before you contact your ISP, be sure to have the results of your speed test. It will also help if you explain to them the minimum requirements for a “Certified” experience on your Xbox.

    If the results of your speed test do not measure up to the bandwidth and connection speed you should be receiving, then you may need to do some additional troubleshooting of your home network with your ISP or ISP technician. It is important to note that the
    speed test was done from a PC on your network and not from the Xbox console, so the results of the test are directly tied to your network speed.
