Xbox live Slow internet in Australia.

I have recently bought 2 online games on Xbox One "Over Watch" and "Battle Born" and they are unplayable due to extreme lag and lack of connection. A test from computer on my confection gets 15 to 20 Mbps with a ping of 15 to 30. I have no connection issues
on any other device including PC gaming. Ive been gaming for 30 years so ive tried all the tricks to improve the connection, but nothing helps.

Is there a setting in the Xbox One menu that can improve this, if not does any one know where to find the phone number to contact Xbox for a refund as I have just bout $160 worth of games that l cant play.

Super slow downloads on Live today

I'd like to say "yes it was going slow" but I live in Australia! With our internet, everyday is slow!!!!

Connecting to Internet via Proxy Authentication

Hi Everyone,

I donated a few Xbox Ones to a school in Australia that helps kids with special needs. But unfortunately they cant connect to the internet because the Australia department of education requires Proxy Server Authentication.

Any ideas how we can get the Xboxs setup on their internet?

The kids would love some of the Xbox Live features.

Hey LocoSteyracrx,

Could you post the results of your detailed network statistics? To see these, navigate over to the Xbox One guide, scroll down to 'All settings', scroll down to 'Network' and select 'Network settings', and then select 'Detailed network statistics'.

Along with that information, please be sure to try a wired connection and let us know if similar issues persist. Lastly, please provide the brand and model numbers of both your router and modem along with your ISP.

Once we have that information, we'll be able to help narrow down the issue further!

Ok thank you. I can't use xCloud as my internet is slow as I am in rural Australia. Can I link my steam and Xbox Live accounts?

And sometimes it has nothing to do with "slow" internet...If I'm in Michigan, playing with someone from Florida, and he invites someone from California AND Australia, there is bound to be some lag. Lol.

One Aussie Mate

I have fixed the issue on my end, but Xbox needs to fix a glitch in live migration. Skyrim was available in both locations. I had to migrate my account back to Australia, and then I had to trick live into thinking I was in Australia by inputting an Australian
DNS in network settings. That was the only way I could recover everything I lost. It's a slow way to do it, but it worked.
