Xbox Live sign in failure

My wireless network connection tests successfully. Yet when I try to login to XBOX live to play a game disc I own ( what a ridiculous thing to have to do) it tells me it "It loos like our service is not working...try again later." I go online to service
alerts and it says XBOX live core services are up and running. I am not trying to play games online, just the discs I currently own like Minecraft and Kinect Sports. My kids are devastated that they can't play their new X Box. What a crock!!!! When will this
get fixed??????

To make your problem more easy to solve try fill in the questions below:

Modem brand & model number:

Router brand & model number:

If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter?

Things you have tried:

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT?

Any Error Codes you encounter:

You can start by unplug your modem/router (wait 5 min before reconnect).

Make sure you have the latest firmware for your modem/router. Visit the manufacturers website and download it from there.

xbox live sign in failure

I have been unable to sign into my xbox live account today. I am connected to internet and xbox live but it just wont sign in and asks me to try again. Any ideas?

Hello, there was a server error yesterday maybe the page wasn't updated yet when you looked

You can play games offline by;

Pressing the home button

Pressing The menu button right of the home button

Select Settings

Select Network

Select Go offline

You are now able to choose to load your local gamesave instead of the save from the cloud and are able to play offline

If you are still getting issues I suggest doing a powercycle as this can fix a lot of issues, you can do this by holding down the powerbutton on the console untill it shuts off
(approx 10 seconds).

We will see. The console itself is moving so slow, not accepting controller buttons when pushed. I will try the power cycle as well. You can play Minecraft or Kinect Sports offline without signing in to your Microsoft account online?

A problem it might be is, the computer might be fluctuating between network connections.
