Xbox live sharing is not working

When sharing Xbox Live and games, the account that purchased Xbox Live can share the service. You have to set your home console with the account used to purchase Xbox Live, then you can share Xbox Live and games when you sign in with that account on other

Why are you sharing with a friend? The home console feature is meant for households with more than one console,it is not for sharing with your friends & can get you into trouble.

There have been issues with the servers today. http://xbox.com/status If you're still having issues after that clears up, try doing a hard reset (hold the power button down on the console until it turns off, unplug it, plug it in, and turn it back on).

Ps...been trying to send this message for over 30mins!!!

If it helps, these are the exact steps that I did;

1) log in to my console as me, ensured that 'make this my home console' was unticked.

2) logged in as me into my brothers console. Went into personalisation, and Ticked 'make this my home console'.

3) switched logins to my brothers account on his console ( the one I had just called home under my login), and he can't get online.

4) my account on my console is still working

5) 4 to 5 reboots later, and still nothing.
