Xbox Live sharing - 2 consoles

hi - need a little help if possible, will break this down as simple as possible

- I have Xbox Live set up on my gamertag

- I have 2 kids each with their own gamertag & added to my family so they can benefit from gold

- I have now bought a second Xbox one

- I would like to know if both my kids can sign into an Xbox each and still benefit from gold on both consoles?

I know I can set one as the home console but I want to know if my kids can both play online at the same time using an Xbox each, under my Xbox live subscription (ie it won’t be my gamertag playing but both of my kids will be)

If possible what do I need to do to enable this to work.

Can I share my xbox live gold account with someone on another console in another house?

Basically gold is available for anyone on the console you have set as your xbox home, no matter if you're signed in or not.

Then it may be also available on one other console when you are signed in, so 2 is the maximum.

How many Xbox Live subscriptions do I need?

The Op cleraly stated "I have 3 Xbox One consoles in my household. Mine and one each for two of my boys" That makes 3 xbox consoles that he wants to connect on xbox live.

How can the OP use only 2 gold subscriptions for 3 xbox consoles?!

You can only share gold on the Home console and you can only have 1 console set as your Home at a time. So they would either have to only use the Home console while you use the second console, or you would need at least 1 more subscription to share on both.

Hello, so over the years the Xbox live has incorporated the family feature. If you own a console and its set as a home console everyone on the console share Xbox Live for free.. If you own 2 consoles and set the second as your home console the 2 consoles share Xbox Live for free. Game Pass is still in the works.

It meant to be for sharing xbox live on 2 consoles and sharing game on 2 consoles. It has worked for months. Until the server crashed in January.
